Munachi Nnadi
Medicine Student
Munachi studied computer science at the Tansian University in Umunya in Nigeria. He is currently a Medicine student at the Odessa National Medical University in Ukraine. His internship in the lab focuses on individual cell tracking of hard-to-track cells and analysis of their signals.
Munachi’s recent story was reported in the podcast This American Life[1] and the New Yorker[2]:

Hitoshi Ishikuma
Master Thesis Student
Hitoshi completed his Bachelor’s in biochemistry at Mount Allison University (Canada). After working as a lab assistant in Japan, he started his Master’s in biochemistry at Freie Universität Berlin. He joined the lab to complete his Master’s thesis investigating the effect of anti-cancer treatment at different times of the day on cell viability.

Carolin Ector
PhD Student
Carolin studied Biology at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg and did her Masters in Molecular Life Science at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Her project focuses on understanding how cell-intrinsic factors regulate the treatment response in triple negative breast cancer.

Marlena Kuhn
Student Assistant
Marlena finished her Bachelors in Life Science Engineering at HTW Berlin and is now starting her Masters in Biotechnology at TU Berlin.
Marlena supports multiple research projects and keeps everything organized in the lab.

Nica Gutu
PhD Student
Nica studied Theoretical Physics at the University of Barcelona and did her Masters in Engineering Physics at Polytechnic University of Catalonia, in Spain. Her Bachelor and Master theses were within the fields of Biophysics and Computational Biology. Her project focuses on developing computational and modelling approaches to study the dynamics of drug responses in cancer treatment.

Adrián E. Granada
Principal Investigator
Adrián studied physics at the University of Buenos Aires and did his PhD in Biophysics at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin followed by a postdoctoral training at the department of Systems Biology from Harvard Medical School with Prof. Galit Lahav. Afterwards, he gained an independent research fellow position at the IRI for the Life Sciences in Berlin. Since spring 2020, he is research group leader at the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Henri Poincaré
Lab spiritual guide
Henri, the father of topology and Chaos theory, studied mathematics at the École Polytechnique in Paris and later completed his studies at the École des Mines. Afterwards, Henri did his Doctorate in Science in mathematics at the University of Paris. More about his work in Wikipedia and BBC.
