Adrián E. Granada

Principal Investigator

Adrián studied physics at the University of Buenos Aires and did his PhD in Biophysics at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin followed by a postdoctoral training at the department of Systems Biology from Harvard Medical School with Prof. Galit Lahav. Afterwards, he gained an independent research fellow position at the IRI for the Life Sciences in Berlin. Since spring 2020, he is research group leader at the Charité Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Carolin Ector

PhD Student

Carolin studied Biology at the Julius-Maximilians University of Würzburg and did her Masters in Molecular Life Science at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. Her project focuses on understanding how cell-intrinsic factors regulate the treatment response in triple negative breast cancer.

Nica Gutu

PhD Student

Nica studied Theoretical Physics at the University of Barcelona and did her Masters in Engineering Physics at Polytechnic University of Catalonia, in Spain. Her Bachelor and Master theses were within the fields of Biophysics and Computational Biology. Her project focuses on developing computational and modelling approaches to study the dynamics of drug responses in cancer treatment.

Heng Luo

Master Student

Heng studied Biochemistry at McMaster University in Canada. Now he is doing his master’s in molecular medicine program at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin.

Héctor Sánchez

Master Student

Héctor studied Genomic Biotechnology at the Autonomous University of Nuevo León in Mexico. His work experience spans fields such as Personalized Medicine and Targeted Therapies. His project focuses on how the circadian clock controls proliferation in normal and abnormal tissues.

Henri Poincaré

Lab spiritual guide

Henri, the father of topology and Chaos theory, studied mathematics at the École Polytechnique in Paris and later completed his studies at the École des Mines. Afterwards, Henri did his Doctorate in Science in mathematics at the University of Paris. More about his work in Wikipedia and BBC.

Bachelor Student

Maike studies Biochemistry and Cell Biology student at Jacobs University Bremen

Francesca Sarah Müller-Marquardt

Master Student

Francesca studied Biology at the Freie Universität Berlin and is currently doing her master’s in Molecular Medicine at the Charité-Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Her project focuses on establishing TNBC cell lines expressing circadian reporters, to detect circadian rhythms and track the proliferation of said cell lines.

Huai-Yu Liou

Master Student

Huai-Yu studied Biochemical Science and Technology at National Taiwan University. Now he studies in the Master’s program Molecular Medicine at Charité. His project focuses on single-cell dynamics of proliferation in cell lineages under circadian clock control.
